We would like to welcome anyone interested in maths education in New Zealand to this new site. Our aim is to provide a Forum for primary teachers, secondary teachers, and academics on the teaching and learning of mathematics. This Forum will provide a place to discuss anything of interest or anything that will stimulate debate. We therefore welcome any of your articles, letters, reports and opinions that you think might fulfil this aim. Anyone wishing to submit an article or letter can do so by emailing it or mailing it to one of the editors (see below). The material that is currently on the site should help you to see the kind of thing that we plan. But if there is something else that you think is important, then please let us know or, better still, write something about it that we can put on the web. Note that all articles will be refereed.
There will be no regular time for things to be displayed on this site. Whenever anything is ready, it will be put up. To help you to keep up with the play we suggest that you register with the site and then whenever anything new appears you will automatically be notified. To register, simply click on the “register” button and add your email address.
The editors of the Forum site are Bill Barton, Derek Holton, and Jim Neyland. You can read about us here. Our mail and email addresses are:
