MATH4AC Algebraic Combinatorics

This course will survey several topics showcasing fruitful interaction of algebra and combinatorics, including walks in graphs, random walks, posets, enumeration under group action, Young tableaux, and symmetric functions.


MATH202, with at least one of MATH342, MATH272 strongly recommended.

Three homework assignments and one final exam.

Your final mark F in the paper will be calculated according to this formula:

F = (E + A)/2


and all quantities are expressed as percentages.
