The purpose of this symposium is to bring together the community of sea ice researchers in New Zealand to share their recent work and discuss future projects.

International Symposium on Fractional Calculus

Dates: 9-13 January 2006


The Department of Mathematics is hosting a Symposium on Fractional Calculus and its Applications. We are bringing together world leaders to discuss recent advances and future research directions in the field. We hope to leave ample time for talks of significant lengths, informal discussions and socialization.

Delta 03 The Delta ’03 Conference was the fourth Southern Hemisphere Symposium on Undergraduate Mathematics Teaching. Venue: Queenstown, New Zealand. Dates: 23-27 November 2003.

Following the previous successful DELTA conferences, the fourth DELTA conference took place in Queenstown amongst the spectacular natural scenery of New Zealand’s premier tourist destination.

Bayesian Modelling in Statistical Ecology

This three-day workshop was designed for ecologists and statisticians with an interest in ecological applications or practical applications of Bayesian inference to problems in ecology.

SEEM The SEEM4 Conference was the Fourth Conference on Statistics in Ecology and Environmental Monitoring; its focus was "Population Dynamics: The Interface Between Models and Data". Venue: University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. Dates: 9-13 December 2002. (A pre-conference wookshop on "Matrix Population Models" was held 4-6 December.)



Mark The Mark Workshop was sponsored by The Wildlife Society Biometrics Working Group. This advanced workshop was held at Canterbury University, Christchurch, New Zealand, in December 2003 as part of the 3rd International Wildlife Congress in Christchurch, New Zealand, 1-5 December 2003 led by Gary White and Richard Barker.
