2004 New Zealand Mathematics Colloquium
The Colloquium will take place at the University of Otago from Monday December 6 to Wednesday December 8 (inclusive).
The second SIAM (Southern Industrial Applied Mathematics) day will be held in conjunction with the Colloquium on Tuesday December 7 (download more information).
The Colloquium will conclude at lunchtime on Wednesday December 8, but the entire Wednesday will be devoted to an Education Day.
The annual general meetings of both the NZMS and the NZ Branch of ANZIAM will be held at the Colloquium.

Registration Details
Registration takes place on Sunday December 5 from 5 pm to 7 pm in the foyer of Unicol, Union Street East, Dunedin. (It is also possible to register in Burns after the conference commences.) There will also be a reception in Unicol running at the same time as registration. Light refreshments will be provided.

All talks will be held on the ground floor of the Burns Building which has entrances off Albany Street from the south and off the main Campus area from the north. The Registration Desk in the foyer of this building will be staffed each day from 8.30 to 9 am and at morning and afternoon teas.
Registration Fees
The registration fees for the conference are as follows:
- Full: $100 (until October 31), $120 (from November 1)
- Student: $50 (until October 31), $60 (from November 1)
(There may be financial help available for students from the NZMS — contact the secretary.)
- SIAM day only: $50
- Education Day only: $50
Accommodation
Accommodation for participants will be provided on campus, a short distance from the conference venue, in a new wing of University College. The cost of bed and breakfast at the College is $45 per night. Participants who wish to stay there should book directly with Pip Falloon, The College Administration Officer, at pip.falloon@stonebow.otago.ac.nz (postal address: c/- University College, 315 Leith Street, Dunedin).

Participants are advised to book their accommodation early because of the demand at that time of the year.
Social Events
The Colloquium dinner will be held on the Tuesday evening at Glenfalloch, in an attractive woodland setting near Macandrew Bay on the Otago Peninsula. As well, those who wish can first take the Natures Wonders Wildlife tour near Taiaroa Head (at the end of the Peninsula).
Conference Talks
Talks will be timetabled into parallel sessions lasting 30 minutes (allowing 25 minutes for a talk and question time). The lecture theatres are equipped with PC and Mac computers, white boards, overhead projectors, data projectors, slide and video facilities. Participants wishing to speak should complete the title and area of their talk on the registration form, and submit an abstract to the conference secretary (igoodwin@maths.otago.ac.nz) by November 15.
As usual, there will be an award for the best graduate presentation.
