11 November

Computers for the conference
Participants giving computer-based talks are encouraged to bring their laptops to the conference, if practical. Computers will be provided, but the more available, the better. Remember to check that your laptop can be used in a New Zealand 240V power outlet. If you have any special computing requirements, please contact the secretary. The hotel where the conference is being held does not have internet access. There is a commercial internet place about 2-3 blocks away with about 20 stations which participants can use for checking email.

Early registration extension
The 1 August deadline for early registrations has been extended to 16 August. If you haven't registered yet, now would be a good time!

AMS Sponsorship
The Australian Mathematics Society is sponsoring their members for this conference, so they can register at the reduced price of $450 before 1 August 2003, and $510 after 1 August 2003. If you are a member of the AMS, please indicate so in the Special Requirements section of the registration form.

The Delta '03 message board is now operational. You may find it useful if you wish to make contact with friends who may also be attending the conference, or if you want to find someone to share activities with while you are in New Zealand. Maybe you would even like to hear from people who share similar work interests! You can post a message of your own, or just check occasionally to see if anyone interesting has left a message you would like to reply to. The Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers conference, AAMT 2003, is taking place in Brisbane, 13-17 January 2003.

We are glad to announce that we are now taking registrations for the conference. You can do this electronically by clicking 'register' and going through the form.

We are also accepting papers for refereeing. To find the details click on 'Papers'.

We have our full list of plenary speakers at 'Invited speakers'. In addition we are planning to hold four panel sessions during ther conference. These will be on the topics of Bridging courses, Statistics teaching, the use of Technology, and Undergraduate teaching. We hope to be able to announce the names of the panelists soon (early in the New Year?).

Please tell your colleagues about the conference.

We look forward to seeing you in Queenstown in November next year.
